Early Morning Two

Sergio has a tendency to hide when in a new environment. He slept underneathe the Lazyboy chair the first evening, possibly the second as well. Within a few days though, he’s getting comfortable enough to sleep out in the open. It’s really a good sign. It probably helps that we have no other animals here, and he’s familiar with both RV and me. Yesterday evening, I caught him snuggling up to Tare Panda on the couch [see photo].

So does waking up at 7:00 count as an early morning?

Considering that I usually get up at 7:45 or even a little later to rush out the door a few minutes before 8:15, it just might. It was noticeably more difficult today to wake up early because while I’ve changed my waking time, sleeping time still remains about the same. I’m trying to get to bed when I am tired, and I just haven’t been tired enough yet. I’m sure I will pass out tonight since I’ll tire myself out with the gym and a night out with friends.

This Become An Early Riser in 5 Days challenge is going to be a tough one. While I really want to make waking up an easier process, and I’m even considering a Sleeptracker, I just can’t justify the cost yet. Maybe I’ll wait for a discount/sale… and then I won’t be able to help myself.

    Hello!

I wanted to leave a comment on your “before + after” post, but wasn’t able to ~ so I’m writing it here. I am considering reconstructive jaw surgery for my underbite, and I just wanted to let you know I appreciate you putting up the photos and chronicling your journey. It’s very helpful as there aren’t too many people who have underbites, and even less who get surgery and post their story on the internet. Looks like your healing process is going well :)

I’m glad to hear that my entries were helpful to you! I’m still recovering, so I will be making more updates in the future. I will probably put a direct link for those looking for info on jaw surgery. :)

What a cute kitty! If you want a cheap way to test out sleep tracking technology, I recommend you try the Sleep Cycle app for the iPhone. That’s what I typically use and it works well enough, though I am seriously thinking about shelling out for the WakeMate or Sleeptracker.

I really like the new layout on your blog, btw. :)

I looked up the app, and it says that it probably won’t work well with Tempur-type/memory foam mattresses. :( Their FAQ says that SOMETIMES it works, so I’m not really sure. I also don’t want to risk overheating the phone… or keeping it right by my head all night.
