Friday 7 Quick Takes #002

01. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your comments on my first vlog. It is really encouraging, and I am already thinking about how to go about the next topic: “When I grow up,…”

How did you answer the question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” when you were 5? 13? 18? 21?

03. On Tuesday evening, RV and I made a Costco run and picked up a pallet of organic raspberries. The pallet of six clam shells of raspberries was less than $10! Wow!

Guess what I have been bringing into work each day and eating since then?

An entire clam shell of raspberries in one sitting. Each sitting lasts under three minutes. Once you pop, you really CAN’T stop! Call me a “raspberry monster,” but they are so perfectly ripe – so sweet and delicious!

04. Sergio has decided that his new sleeping spot is on the Lone Star cooler that came in the party pack.

05. Last night, I was invited to attend the Beautylish Night of Beauty event. There were make-up artists, free beauty products, cupcakes, bites, and booze. It was so much fun!

And for once, I won the raffle! I am usually unlucky. I can buy a majority of the tickets, and someone who bought one ticket or several tickets will still win.

06. As you may or may not have read, we have been tormented by mosquitoes. You would think that we live somewhere tropical with how often we get bitten, but it’s just anytime we have good weather in San Francisco. Last night, we killed six, losing more than an hour of sleep over it. Spraying our exposed limbs with natural repellent didn’t help much.

We’re now going to try the fan approach. We have a fan set up towards the bed. Hopefully that will keep ‘em off in the night.

07. Do you ever look at your calendar and wonder how on some days, you have absolutely nothing, but then on one or two days, you have to choose between five or six events going on at the EXACT same time in different places?! It’s one of those types of weekends.

      I <3 Sergio too. :D The raspberries are delicious, but they are also disappearing too quickly. Might have to do a raspberry run this weekend!

      Food is always one my mind. ;) I don’t do the photo of every meal, but it’s
      hard to pass up an opportunity to take pictures of beautiful berries.

    Also, such a cute cat! I used to be superstitious about black cats, but then I got one and he totally won me over.
    As for the question, I always imagined that I would be living and working independently when I graduated college… Now, an amazing guy in my life has me rethinking my priorities.

      I gave their addresses to the contest sponsor who sent them the prize through the mail. I think they may have sent coupons for the winners to pick up free bars at their nearest Whole Food/Safeway/etc.
