Oahu 2010 – Hawaiian Sunsets and Rainbows

Nope, I am still not done with my coverage of Oahu! After the shrimp trucks of the North Shore, we continued around the island, catching the gorgeous sunset as we headed back to our starting point for the day.

When it was sufficiently dark and our stomachs had recovered from shrimp plates and poke, we decided to stop by Rainbow Drive-In [one of Pres. Obama’s favorites] for dinner.

RV and I shared the Combo Plate and a side of Saimin. I also grabbed a bite of the sister’s Loco Moco.

It’s definitely a value meal [less than $10 for LOTS of food], and the food was good, but not mind-blowing. Maybe we waited too long after getting the food to eat it!

  • Whoa, these photos are fantastic! You know, I haven’t even been to Rainbow Drive-In. I’ve been outside it and sat there, but haven’t actually eaten anything :P

    • If you’re looking for good plate lunches, go up to Kailua! I think it’s healthier, if that’s possible. :)

  • Also, what camera did you use for these? Not your point-and-click right? They’re amazing.

    • Rainbow Drive-In photos were my point-n-shoot. The others were the DSLR.
