What I'm currently up to - goals for 2015, quality time with family and friends, cooking more to save money, decluttering the house and other projects.

On a wet and chilly morning, Ryan and I made a visit to Wildlife West Nature Park, located in Edgewood, New Mexico, about 50 miles east of Albuquerque. We happened to be staying with a friend nearby, so it was our first stop of the day.

About half way into our New Mexico trip in early October, I began checking my email obsessively. I’d entered a lottery around mid-September, and “winners” would be announced that day. The prize? A chance to stay overnight on Alcatraz!

For my birthday, Ryan surprised me with dinner at KEIKO à Nob Hill in San Francisco's Nob Hill. The tasting menu is a seafood lover's dream come true, but the wagyu beef is top notch!

Dinner at Commonwealth in San Francisco's Mission District - bringing a party of five meant ordering every item on the menu, dessert included!

One of the highlights of living in San Francisco is its proximity to “ALL THE THINGS.” Want to go on a short hike? You can hop right to it, and that’s exactly what we did several weekends ago. We went about an hour outside of San Francisco to Lake Lagunitas in Marin.
